Who & What Is Earthwire?

Earthwire is a creative group of music content developers founded by Drew Youngs in 1993. Drew is a world class writer, producer, vocalist, guitarist, communications, artist development educator and studio engineer. He has over 30 years of experience on various music projects for solo artists, bands, public relations firms, marketing and advertising firms, film and commercial projects.

Drew started his career in Palo Alto in the late 70’s as a singer and guitarist and plucked a few notes with various leading artists throughout the bay area such as Pete Escovito, Herbie Hancock, John Handy, Mickey Hart, Steve Miller, Terry Miller, Steve Smith and Bob Wier to name a few. Early in his career, Drew was lead vocalist and guitarist for the Tazmanian Devils signed by Warner Bros. Recording Artists. Drew has seven original albums in the acoustic Latin Jazz, Pop, Film, New Age and Jazz Fusion genres.

The studio was upgraded in October 2006 with a state of the art Digi Design 32 Fader ICON D- Control, integrated console Pro Tools HD accel 7 system with Power Mac G5 to improve production efficiency, add surround sound mixing capability for post production projects.

We provide an excellent visual and audio experience for the artist while recording. A Hear Back individual mixer sound control module is provided for each artist while recording. A large glass partition separates the control room from the main room allowing the musician visual interaction with the engineer.
